Bravo you identified this Butterfly it is a small member of the Skipper family which is unmistakable. The only Skipper with two yellow or orange bands on a white background on the underside hindwing. The upperside has a row of submarginal spots, particularly bold and well defined on the hindwing. A lovely macro even if it is a little worse for wear...

Yet another fantastic macro from Mayda, I love it when I open my mail and it tells me you have posted. What an unusual flower it is perched upon, I have never seen one like that before. The butterfly itself is remarkable but I am just as enamoured by the flower, I must go and look this up. Bravo!!!!+++++
