High in the Australian Macpherson Mountain range lies the Holiday resort of ‘Xanadu’. Originally built by the philanthropist Jethro Manchester, now it is owned by a shady, Greek shipping magnate who goes under the pseudonym of ‘Aristotle Milan’. In reality, ‘Aristotle Milan’ is the Lord Nephran Malinari- known as ‘The Mind’ due to his incredible Mentalist powers- one of three alien invaders from another Space/Time. And he has other plans, for the Holiday resort: In the caverns below the complex, buried in the dark, lies a loathsome, seething, boiling, semi-sentient protoplasmic mass. Built from a piece of his own, sloughed, undead metamorphic flesh and the mutated body of one of his own, mindless servants- it is the Vampiric idea of ‘Gardening’. Occasionally nourished by the bodies and more importantly the blood of his unwanted victims, his Deadspawn Garden nears fruition. Soon the grotesque black mushrooms will sprout and mature. Eventually they will release their deadly cargo of red spores into the resorts air conditioning system. From there, the spores will infect all of the unwitting guests at the complex…… Then, the unwitting Earth will be afflicted with a plague of Vampires, for whom the ‘blood will be the Life’…. Only the ESPer’s of E-Branch stand in the way his plans- however, they lack the skills and powers of Harry Keogh- the original Necroscope- who has been dead for years. A new Necroscope appears to have been ‘chosen’ by Harry, to carry on his work: the convicted ‘murderer’ Jake Cutter. However, Jake seems to have some other things on his mind: Bloody revenge against the murderous Drug Baron and his gang who raped and killed the girl he loved- and very nearly killed him. The ‘Dead’ will not talk to him, because Harry got too close to Vampires, once to often- and died a Vampire himself. And, more sinisterly, the dead Vampire Korath Mindsthrall, is try to take over Jakes’ mind. The Tenacity of the Vampire is legendary……..
