Really like the red in this shot. I can't stop thinking however about the spines on the left. I think you should've excluded them from the crop if the red spines were your main focus. As now you've got the viewer wanting a bigger view of the detail on the other spines of those books on the left. Personally I feel a tight crop would be the way to go as it does seem that you are wanting to focus on the red books.
