Description
When I left my flat it was already dark and the fog was even a little more dense. Good luck I thought.
I left my bike at the corner, lighted a last cigarette and when it was smoked I went to Lola's mansion. I must admit I was astonished when I saw it. It was no fancy villa at all but an old two storey clapbord house. Big but not fashionable.
Slowly I entered the small park. No woman, no man, no car, no cat. Lola had told me about her alarm system and I thought it wouldn't be a problem. It wasn't. The sensors in my visor stayed calm. The alarm was off and that was the second surprise tonight. I ducked and ran to the house. On the veranda I stopped and checked sensors and surroundings carefully. No alarm system and no soul nearby. It took me fifteen seconds to open the back door lock and I cursed my slowness when I opened it, careful to avoid any noise. I couldnt be sure that there was someone in there but I was sure that Lola would have turned the alarm on.
I saw a small hall and a stairway. Both were empty and I enterd the hall, closing the door behind me. My target was on the second floor. Lola's sparrow hang at her bedroom wall she had told me.
The only noise I could hear was the ticking of an old fashioned clock in the hall. Gently I stepped on the stairway. The third step creaked. I stopped. Still no evidence of a human being. I breathed deeply and went on.

Can't say how but I could complete my work (a stupid essay about William Turner) faster than I had imagined and found a little time for the Sparrow this afternoon. Just to shorten the time for those two or three people who like to know what's going on and especially for Ladonna *grin*
I hope you like it and I say thank you for the comments on the least episode. The next one will not be online before Tuesday. I'll be out of town and out of internet between tomorrow afternoon and Monday night.
Have a wonderful loving weekend and take care! Hugs, Doro
