Description

...Okay, due the public pressure and those absolutely adorable Celtic jewels by Dglidden, I decided to put up yet another piece... So, almost everything you seen in this image is done by using Odin's Sword Maidens by Dglidden and Morris, execpt that the character texture is Charon by me... ... hope like this one ... ps. big thanx to you guys and galls who had really kicked my ass over these last few days.

Wonderful job, she is gorgeous! I am not exactly sure why you were leaving (although I have my suspections) but I am glad you are not. You should be proud of your work and should be proud to display it. And from the praise above, it appears I am not the only one that thinks this way.

Although I enjoy your art thoroughly (by far you are among my top 3 favourites) I am inclined to ask what is Celtic about this beauty? Okay she has a torc, but where is the bright colours and striped or patched clothing by which Caesar identified the Celts? Where is the typically Halstatt era 'spread-eagled man' hilt on the (very unceltic) blade? Why are there Angle runes on the blade? Since when did the Celts encounter leopards - and what's with those boots?? Just one other thing - if you read the Mabinogion, the tales of Cuchulainn or the Classical authors descriptions of the Celtic peoples, you will not find reference to brown eyes; unless you are suggesting that this lass is a Galatian Celt (if so - why the blonde hair?) Could you perhaps redo this picture in a way that may actually capture the cultural uniqueness of the Celts? Lose the leather and add tartan! By the way - I assumed the lass was supposed to be of Halstatt period because you added a backdrop similiar to the Austrian Alps.

Turin, to paraphrase Dr. Freud: Sometime, the fantasy is just a fantasy. Perhaps the Celts have been known to trade a lot with other tribes in the South. Why do you think it was the Greeks that gave the name of "kelti" or Keltos to the Celts? Fabulous stunning work, Toxic Angel!

i do agree with turin, that sword is totally out of period so is the backdrop and i'm afraid to say it, the whole bloody image but still a nice render all the same :D
