I prefer version 3 of the face, but version 2 of the background. :-) Trying to analyze a matter of taste: the v3 face looks (to me!) like an interesting face, the v2 face looks (to me!) like a face, perceived through something like hindering reflection. Property or interference. Hmm... I think I have touched on an interesting theme for you (or myself) to elaborate on.
