Hello and welcome aboard.
Name's Corentin, (or elcoco), but gat use to sign under SHTL on the web since I'm involved in 3D.
I'm that "gribble" (???) kind of guy, always drawing anything everywhere I can, but I gat catch in the numerical world since Turtle language around early 80's. (haha, no joke!). Then amapi and bryce, strata studio pro 1.5, (all 90's versions ^^) and finally cinema 4d. (started with r7 only).
Followed a classical drawing/painting cursus.
Always been interested in plastik art and sculpture, architecture, industrial design, comic books, manga, animation, (every media where I can find cool drawing), cinema (from A to Z), any kind of "good music" (like every body finally ;) ), photography, video games, dancing, fallin in love (until I got married). Oh, and I'd love to travell more...
Professionally, I'm earning my human life as a freelance illustrator since 1994, (damit, where did time goes?!).
But I gat involved in many different projects, including (more or less in order)
clubbin partys AD and flyers, vinyl and CD albums design, SF comic book, catalog designer for a well known Japanese brand, women fashion magazine layout/design, Hip Hop magazine AD, books cover designer, personal "artistic" exhibition on the meka theme, animatik designer for/with other artists installations, magazine (and fanzine!) illustrations (2D/3D) , exhibitions scenography visualisation, architecture (pre)visualization, 3d design for broadcast / french television channels, TV commercials, music video clips, character conceptions, 3D precomputed animations designer for a french automotive website (actual WIP) ... haha! That's a lot.
Plus what I forgot ^^ Plus cool experiences to come ^^ Which I hope will take me to movie and/or video game industries.... or not ! ^^
As you might see, my favorite thing always goes to SF mechanical/robots, somewhere between Nature's chaotic perfection and hi-tech urbanity. Maybe because this is a place "artists" can free there imagination the most aaahhhmmm.... freely? (yeah I know, sounds heavy but all I could think off ^^)
As for the Internet activity, I'm now pretty much involved in the french cinema4d forum, where they raised me Moderator. (but I mainly go there to learn new stuff from others ^^).
Haha! I could almost feel like a big artist with such a long "bio" ^^
I could have wrote "I love graphics just like you", but if you read this, it proves you wanted to know more?!
Anyhow, hope you'll enjoy watching :-)

This looks really cool - but again, the thumbnail could be better, if you use photoshop, read http://www.renderosity.com/mod/tutorial/index.php?tutorial_id=1570, it's a tutorial how to create better thumbnails :)

Thanks guys :) Followed your suggestion nfrocer, I like the suprise effect of a thumb, but I admit this was too much ^^ Hope it'll look more "attractive" like this? ;)

SoulTaker
I always have mixed feelings of joy and sadness when I see images and models of such standard. Joy that there are talented 3d model makers out there. Sadness that these great work will never be use by anyone other than the modeller. Sci-fi artists are crying out for stuff like this. (Have a think about selling it. I for one would pay a fair price for it for it) That aside. Great work. Looking forward to seeing more

I fully agree with SoulTaker. Such art should be used to its fullest potential. I to would pay for it(; as i know many would.

Thanks you all for your comments, it's very encouraging :) @ Soultaker/Trepz: Since it was modeled in cinema4d but here, rendered in Vue6 (standalone), I allready did an .obj export, also baked AO in bitmaps. The mesh isn't really optimised (pretty heavy in polys), but it render pretty ok. I'll check the "how too sell" section. Thanks for your interest :)
