I think Jill's summed up my thoughts perfectly...all the way down to liking browns. Fabulous work yet again, Mandi! :)

boy it is really a challenge to try to figure out all the little creatures making up more creatures. interesting work. in my picture titled "asking directions from a native" i created the bacground and the ground plane in a bryce scene. with poser 7 i created and rendered all my figures, lighting and shadows. in this way i left the ground clear but used it as a shadow catcher. i saved my image as a .png file so that my background color would wind up transparent preserving all my shadows and partial shadows. i made my foreground and shadows, and then my bryce background that i saved as a jpg file 100% highest quality both the same size. opened both up in gimp. copied my poser foreground picture (.png file) full size and then layered it onto the bryce background jpg file utilizing the gimp layers dialogue. did a few minor touch ups with the paint tools. slightly changed the brightness and contrast with the color tools. i anchored my foreground to my background and saved everything as a gimp file then as a jpg 85% to bring the picture's memory size down to gimps requirements. then i squared out a thumbnail saved it as a new picture. resized it for renderosity size and memory requirements saved it as a jpg and uploded it to renderosity.com.

I really don't know how to categorize your work...almost Lovecraftian (to moi) , but not quite...definitely stimulating, that's for sure and very compelling!....very well done !!!

Always I look at your images I feel to be in a museum with arechologycal finds of old mystical and mythical paintings, and I always enjoy to see them much. Our render images looks often so similar becourse we all use nearly the same content and figures. Most we are different in skills only. Some are beginners and others have already a high level; some are doing funny things and others gothic and so on. But I think render-images canĀ“t be so unique like your collages!!
