Description
Antwerp is a very old city. It is 100% sure that people lived at the place that is called Antwerp 2000 years ago and it also is 100% certain that Antwerp was a very important city 700 years ago.
In those years cities were very different from now of course. This tiny street reflects the way of building houses in the Middle Ages. This actually is a street that directly originates from that time.
It was very difficult to take this photo. Not only the confined space was a problem, I felt only a wide view shot would do in this case and thefor I needed a wideangle lens with it's special characteristics, but also the enormous contrasts between the light on the white walls and the pavement were a problem. I used photoshop to overcome those problems as good as possible.
