Description

A view across one of Wellington's many valleys. Whilst lovely to own a house on a ridge with views, spare a thought for the poor gully dwellers who spend entire days shivering in the shade. Not an easy city to install road and pipeline networks either. Because of the risk of earthquakes most of the houses are timber-framed with corrugated steel roofs. This means a lot of re-painting, sanding, scraping and bogging of rot on a regular (5 yearly) basis. And then there are the gardens and bush to keep in check . . . . Don't be fooled, you're much better off where you are now!!

They look beautiful, but that sure sounds like more upkeep than I care for... Excellent capture!
