This was primarily an exercise in creating a realistic environment in CINEMA 4D. Everything was modeled from scratch, using Hair for the reeds, Sky for the sky and primary light, and Clothilde for the curtain and canopy. Two additional lights were used to highlight the tower itself, without losing the ambient light from the gloomy sky and fog. Another small light was placed inside the tower to avoid deep shadows in the doorway and window. Everything was rendered in C4D, with some minor touchup and corrections in GIMP.
