Description

This was a rather serendipitous (sp?) shot. It's taken from the sky tram at the San Diego Zoo. I was getting ready to take a shot of the tower and domed building when I saw that there was a plane headed in to land at the airport so I just waited a few seconds and voila! :D The tower is the California Bell Tower...I'm not quite sure what the dome is...or rather was originally. It houses the Museum of Man in Balboa Park now. Both were built in 1914 for the Panama-California Exposition to celebrate the first ships coming through the canal to California. Out of town for work tomorrow, so I'll be behind on comments and still unable to get time to render. But I did finish HP7 yesterday, so feel free to comment/IM about that if you want. :) John

That is very cool John! Incredible opportune shot, and there was plenty of light to keep the shutter speed fast to ensure a capture without blur- I am curious: do they sell a UV filter for your camera? It might help reduce some of the haze in scenes, particularly evident in low sea-level areas. Not only that, but it provides a great cover and protection for your lens.
