If you don’t mind sir He would proudly say I will take your can for you And through it away When he finished the park It was up on his bike And away he did ride A smile A bag of cans A slight nod of his head To say thanks Later that night I saw him at the store Cashing in cans And counting his change Enough for dinner Another good day

A couple of days ago I saw this man who looked like he was in his early to mid 30’s collecting cans ( in Oregon cans are worth 5 cents each and you can cash them in at any grocery store) then later that I night I saw him cashing them in. This man was not standing on the side of the road or outside of walmart holding a sign begging for money. He was doing his little thing and eating. Sometimes I think my life sucks because I have to work so far from home but then I see things that make me realize there are many, many people who would give anything to be able to change places with me. I hope everyone likes my little poem and that little vaggabondd in the picture is one I took of myself a few years ago. I think in many ways I am a vaggabondd in my heart. I hope everyone likes my 300th upload. Randy

I like both your poem and photo, they fit very nicely together! The district of the city I work in includes many transients and I often find myself thanking God for what He's blessed me with.
