Description

Seek & You Shall Find Oh why is it said and a fact to be true, things that mean the most, is what's taken from you? And while we have them, we neglect to hold them dear, and until they are gone, does our heart feel the fear. So, from that moment on, in our dreams, in our hopes, we pray deep in our minds... But only those using true wisdom seeking, are the ones who actually find... With a soft sigh and a queasiness to her stomach, she stepped from the hidden confines of her sactuary. A sanctuary provided by an unsuspecting friend. Yes, while she was black, a missing slave, here she found safety in this sanctuary provided by her friend, Sandra Sinclair, who was white, having much in common with herself. A hidden estate in early New York. Born at this time in history, no woman black or white, for that matter was actually free. Besides, they shared a secret, because of that secret, also a bound that would bind them for all time. "Here I step out to tend to my duties, always at this lonely hour before dawn when safest.You see, I am a missing slave and yet, not from my master do I hide. I would give anything that he would know of my whereabouts. While he seeks to find me, he is not alone, so do others." With a sigh she climbed into the hansom to find the wheels upon the cobble stone gently jostling her within. "So many years have passed since I was taken from my master, by men who seek me, because I was taken from my father. None other than Makia Island's last great king, King Lu'Maden. Yes, a king. And I, his only child from his precious wife, Aurelia. On my master's plantation, I am Miss Lena, on my father's island, I am Princess Ces'alena, King Lu'Maden's one true treasure." "And for his treasure - that would be me - he offers any man, a treasure so great, that I am sought and hunted far and wide, to have me once again, at his side. One would think, this too my greatest dream. No, not that, my dream is to be back with the man of my of my heart. I seek, I wish, I desire, one man, Manny ... my master, my lover." Sadness engulfs her, "With so many out to find me, I dare not make my presence known. Oh my father in heave, lead him, the man that I love, my master, here to me." Excellent picture, I love this soft light that gives a misty effect. Her expression and the outfit are fantastic. And the frame with those beautiful fonts is an important detail!

DLG :) Wonderful lighting on the background, candle and corner of the house!!! Textures inside the cairiage and house are fantastic!!! Character is very beautiful and her pose is spot-on!!!! DLR: (Okies.. gonna get lynced now..) Her dress is beautiful but the texture is too grainy, this makes it look flat IMHO. Also really don't know what it is her hand is laying on.. so.. what is it?? :) Last remark before I duck and run.. The spokes of the wheel are made of wood and should reflect less.. (Oh.. I SO getting bushwhacked now...)

DLG- - -> Beautiful image Mercedes. Love the dress and the whole scene in general. Like Charley mentioned the dress is a bit grainy. Other tan that this is superb. A great cretion to use the Mood Master in.

DLG, Love the story you write so beautifully sure wish I had your talent! I love the scene its put together so well with great details. I am thinking about the grainy textures of the dress. Maybe if the dress would have complimented the colors of the scene it wouldn't stand out like that. Just an idea!...hugs, Shannon :}
