Description

"Reality is only a Rorschach ink-blot, you know." ~ Alan W. Watts "Happiness in the present is only shattered by comparison with the past." ~ Doug Horton "Toad saw that he was trapped. They understood him, they saw through him, they had got ahead of him. His pleasant dream was shattered" ~ Kenneth Grahame "Faith is the strength by which a shattered world shall emerge into the light." ~ Helen Keller

Wow, what a great response to my previous image, thanks! It is interesting to hear what all of you saw, and how you approached the image. Many of you looking at it in a very flat manner while others saw it more 3D. I am one of the later, and have to admit to seeing some sort of demon goat staring back at me, lol. I wonder what H. Rorschach would have to say about that? Here is a manipulation of another photo I took of the glass. I pushed the mirroring aspect of it to greater lengths this time to achieve what I feel is and even less representational and more abstract scene. Again, I'd love to hear what you see. Aside from myriad faces, I also see some dimensional portal leading to outer space. I know, I've got an overactive imagination! ;'P

Another fine abstract image, Kortalouie. I must admit, my eyes are going right to those four wee 'eyes' in the center. I don't know why, but I like that part the best. I think maybe, it's because of that lovely bluish color. Anyway, it's wonderful and very creative. -M :^) And ooops, I see I spelled Rorschach wrong yesterday. :^/

...I like the foreshortened look of this --- you know , Kort - you certainly acquit yourself well in what ever photograpic avenue you travel down - wouldn't be selling my camera anytime soon if I were you ! .....also -- just the other day I was noticing how many 'demonic ' like faces seem to pop up when one mirrors an image - esp an abstact -- as an agnostic leaning towards an 'unbeleiver'...it certainly throws a little monkey wrench into my belief system....why so many 'evil' looking faces ??? - is there a message in there somewhere ?

Okay, you want Rorschach, I'll give you Rorschach. The image down towards the bottom looks like a delta shaped bee or insect riding piggyback on top of a larger moth type insect with squarish wings that are swept back in front. The image at the top is more difficult to ascertain, possibly a portal as you described above leading to another dimension or universe. This is a fantastic multifaceted composition you have created here, Kort. As for unstrung's comment, you can believe in demons and still be an agnostic.

Now you got me seeing what I thought I saw in the last one. I see faces all over again and thought I had that cured, lol. Interesting work. Aloha

The middle is definitely a transition point. I get the feeling that if I walk from where I'm standing now, at the edge of this place, I'll get smaller and smaller as I approach the center. Whatever happens there, I'll be different when I emerge on the other side, and will get larger again as I get to the far side. The center feels like a place of transformation. If I cross that barrier, nothing will ever be the same again. Yikes! It's a good thing we're all a bunch of artists here - anywhere else, they'd throw me out! Thanks for posting such a compelling and fascinating work. Really awesome stuff. I'd like to put in my vote to see this in next week's LWITG!

I agree, Kort, I like the foreshortened look too. I see a lot of creepy insects and demons, upon study, but I also think this looks like a very exquisite garden patio. :o)b itsumama

It gives me the sense of being squeezed down very small as you enter the center, through the small window in time... very cool work Kort!!!!!
