Los mejillones son una de mis comidas predilectas.... me gustan al vapor con perejil, ajo.... Algunas veces le agrego algo de harina y vino blanco.... o simplemente al vapor .... son exquisitos, me encanta ir al mar y recolectarlos... Estos llegaron ayer a mi casa... y salieron exquisitos. Los mejores de esta tierra vienen de "Puerto Piramides" al sur de la Argentina Espero que a usted lo guste mi foto Un saludo desde Argentina. Roby ;O) ************************************************** The mussels are one of my favorite foods.... I like to the vapor with parsley, garlic.... I sometimes add him something of flour and he/she came white.... or simply to the vapor.... they are exquisite, I love to go to the sea and to gather them... These arrived yesterday at my house... and they left exquisite. The best in this earth come of "Port Pyramids" to the south of the Argentina I hope to you it likes him my picture A greeting from Argentina. Roby ;O)

Ooooh! You so got me with these, lol. I loooooooove mussels. Yes, definately garlic.... and shallots...and wine to steam them open...YUMMM! Have you ever used red wine and a touch of bread crumbs? Oh and a bit of tomato? What can be more delicious? Sorry...I forgot this was an art site and not the cooking network, lol. This is wonderful, Roby. You captured them beautifully. :^)

¡Éstos son apenas hermosos, mi amigo! Tenemos moules para arriba aquí, también, pero tienen cáscaras muy oscuras. Son azul-negros, y la carne es anaranjada. Cuando usted viene hasta ayuda yo coma los pescados que Vaggabondd cogió, traen algunos de éstos junto con usted. ¡Tendremos un banquete!

Another textural pleasure to view. I like a freshwater mussel chowder. Even though these in your photo are from the sea they look identical to the mussels we'd find in the backwoods of the Ozarks of the U.S. Thanks for sharing this, Roby.

I have never been an admirer of mussels. I find they taste too much like the way my turtle tank at home smells. But I know many people enjoy them steamed or fried. Back home when I was young and lived on the shores of Lake Erie, we had a clam bake every year to celebrate the clam harvest. All the relatives would come to our house. In barrel-like steamers set up in the driveway, massive amounts of clams were steamed with corn and lobsters. It was a wonderful time. This is a wonderful shot that brought back a warm memory.
