I was born in the flat lands of Kansas in a family of nine. My love of images started when I was 11 in the mid60s and my mom brought home a box full of Life and Look mags. Being the middle child, withdrawn and depressed. I took these images, cut them up made collages to express myself. My Art form begain and so too my love of Photography. I still make Collages from found objects. But once I got my computer I turned to 3D Art. Then replace my old SLR with a digital and here I am. I now live on a small Island in the Puget Sounds. With my husband and two cats and a menagerie of wild life.

Bizarre. I like the surreal feel of it and your choice of toning the image.

Not bad at all, I think it's a bit washed out and could do with more focus, but maybe you were going for the diffused effect?

I love the usage of black and white for this photograph-- adds an eerie feel to the image. Looks very detailed and very intricate, must of been a very interesting place to be surrounded by... I'm certainly glad you went on this venture -- as you've captured some very beautiful and very unique rock formations...really makes you admire mother nature, and appreciate it. It would be very interesting to find out the history behind this scene! Beautiful photograph! Thank you for sharing your findings!

Was it as strange looking at it, spooky like, as it seems in the photo? Eerie is a good wordk for this (tori, above use it). There's even some water to give a bit of reflections! Awesome shot!

..great photo - the rocks forms and pilings are in artistic harmony -- black and white really seems the right choice ....the four vertical strips of foreground - rock forms - pilings - and graduated sky - work very well together.
