These are lovely objects you have scanned, but as scans, please put them in the Mixed Medium gallery in the future, not the photography gallery. Thanks.

Hmmmm...I have to wonder what TwoPynts' theory is here. Though many of us are into digital photography, the last I heard film photography was not only considered "real" photography, but if you listen to the purists, the ONLY real photography. That being said, I know of no way to get those photos onto the net without scanning them. If scanning makes an image "mixed media" then just what, pray tell are we to consider a digital photo that has been enhanced, sharpened or otherwise adjusted with Photoshop? Many professional photographers (albeit the purists) will tell you it is in fact the scanned image that is "REAL"; not the digital one. As for me, I think this is an excellent shot which has picked up the opalescent finish on the bottle in a wonderful way. I would much more seriously consider a helpful critique citing suggestions for apurture, photographic technique or filters than one that criticizes the means by which we transfer the image to the net. (And yes, I do a wee bit of photographic work myself, LOL!)
