Gels and templates in the lights can make fascinating stage presences of foliage masks in shadows. In a render is this real or staged? Maybe it is time to let go of the overreasoning of critique. The effect is there and marvelous for it's subtlety. Digital form comes into it's own. It could be a texture on the surface of the model. Exactly how an image as big as one's monitor comes out of a chip only about an inch and a half across is an exercise in believability that sometimes the mind fails when it assigns the source to remote Internet servers. Like a whisper that travelled 3000 miles.
