One of your finest! More photo-real than oil-painterly this time. Wonderful sky, water and vegetation - as usual. But the ships, building and wharf epecially stand out for me. Good job on the (potentially) confusing wharf details, (e.g. the bridge). Parts of that are still a bit ambigious for me (partially sunken hull toward the left?). Prolly can't do better without a larger image though. Excellent composition, as usual, and very balanced. The lighting and colors are subtle and moody, giving strong support to the feeling of presence and reality. The scale figures are perfect. The only breakdown for me are the cliffs. To me they look thin and "cut out", in spite of the shadows. Partly, i think this is because the depth breaks down where the near cliff overlaps the distant one - why no contrast or sharp edge there? Also, if the near cliff had a more articulated "front" and "side", with maybe some hrizontal geologic strata stripes to enphasize that, it could help? And maybe also some little bits of vegetation could show that the "front" is steeper than the "side" or such? My usual amazement that only 57% of the viewers used the full size view. Thanks for another thrilling visual experience!
