I really like this photo, but cannot make it come "alive". Played a little with it in PSP8, but something is still missing. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
We are leaving sometime tomorrow, can't wait to get out to the Hollow! This was taken last time, at dusk. Murphy is waiting by the fire for us to join him so he will have a lap to sit on!
Thank you so much for all the fantastic comments on the previous post, "war in sector ..."! Hope you all have a good week, be back Friday I think, expecting to see some awesome works of art from you guys!!

with Potatoshop (as we just to call it) any relise. just selet the very light area in this case sky and tree in the light area ctrl+shift+I to invert the selection then ctrl+L and experiment with levels suggest to use the mdle one the grays, to make it lighter in the dark parts. and should do the trick hope is that what u were lookin 4.

Hmm, hard to say, I think sky is pretty bright compared to everything else and takes up a lot of the attention. Perhaps if you had the sky darker and the fire colour more saturated thought the "replace colour" function, that's might help.

Well.. it misses a large bottle of beer, a gitar and some large piece of meat :) grin no.. I bet you drank the beer, have the gitar on your lap en the meat is proberbly eaten.. It shows a wonderful location and a wonderful moment in time is that a polar dog on the bench ?

I will save it and open it later to see if I can improve any but I like it very much the way it is. hope you have an awesome trip

the sky is drowning in light and the floor is drowning in shadows, so contrast enhancement won't lead to suitable results. try to ignore the sky and lead the scenery on earth to a fiting light. the fire isn't even smolder here. just forget about the automatics and lead it with your eye!

It looks warm and inviting to me, maybe what is missing is you providing a lap for little Murphy :)
