As a hobbyist photographer I developed an interest in combining "fantasy and reality" back in the late 1990's.Ă‚Â At that time my graphics knowledge consisted of a vague familiarity with PhotoImpact.Ă‚Â With the help of some friends who were learning Poser at the time I obtained some "tubes" of fairies which I incorporated into various shots of flowers and gardens and eventually purchased Poser in an attempt to create my own additions to my photos.
Through a graphics design course I took on line I met some of the greatest Poser artists around.Ă‚Â Paramount was meeting Jayme from Illusions Designs (in my mind the "King of Poser Art" ) who spent countless hours and infinite patience teaching me how to actually use the program, add dimension and shadow and most importantly--create a personality to the figures thus giving them that certain "glow".Ă‚Â Without that, you would most likely still be looking at flat, lifeless images in my gallery.Ă‚Â
Once comfortable with using the program I developed an interest in character creation.Ă‚Â Ă‚Â Again my dear Jayme to the rescue --Ă‚Â always coaching and challenging me to go beyond what I thought I could do...and the result is the characters you will soon find in my store.Ă‚Â Ă‚Â Ă‚Â Ă‚Â
I still have a ways to go before I'm completely satisfied with my images and characters, but in the journey lies all the fun!

Great image! Her expression and eyes are wonderfully done. Your images are always a treat for me. I dont use poser at all but look forward to yur posts eagerly, as each of them has such character. Your comments on comments is very well stated. So far i have been lucky. I am one of the new artists you speak of, and so far while i dont get generally get many comments the ones i have got are all positive. Those positive comments are the biggest reason i keep striving to learn. Your comments on my works have always been uplifting and i appreciate them tremendously.

I totally agree with everything you say on this one!! Poser is a hobby for me 2 but one i get great enjoyment from and i am sure that is the case for everyone else. The last thing they need is for someone to come along and spoil that enjoyment by being harsh. well said :O)

I have to add that some of the artists here are children or elderly people stuck at home and poser is their only way of keeping occupied. Very cool image Maxine, i used to draw them myself.

I think your commentary is 100% bang on. I myself do not do Poser pics, my main venue is fractals. I have to say i was drawn to check your gallery due to the wonderful comments i have seen you post on a young artist i have been following the progress of. I see she already posted here so i don't have to worry about her seeing this. The type of comments i have seen you post on Maria4scott's gallery are a prime example of how we here can lift up each other. By the way this render is very cute and like someone else said a huge improvement on what we used to draw in school. Thank you for speaking out on a topic that needs addressing.
missgrin

Your so right Maxine i know after last week im not sure if i want to carry on posting here its not worth the hastle something that was fun as turnt into a nightmare through jealousy and i even had someone post in public comparing my work to another artist here damn right out of order well i wont say no more because they are more than satisfied they know they hurt my feelings so they got there kicks and who gives them the right to judge a person they dont even know they are just cowerds hiding behind a keyboard sad world we live in today when everything in life is a challenge sorry for the rant !!!!!
