Description
I really taxed Poser 6 (and myself) to the limit using so many figures in this one. I've become habitual at locking props and figures as I get done with them. (always remember to lock the GROUND prop before starting anything!) The scene became awkward to position for its final render until I hid most of the figures. Once I had the camera lined up right, I hit "Show all figures" and took my render.
I've learned to use the "set value" of the parameter dial to consistently scale down figures by an exact amount (notice all the humans, and their clothes, have been scaled to exactly 25%) I've learned that the best way to handle clothed figures is to pose them while naked, and then add the clothes after the posing is done. Again, locking figures - including clothes - is the way to avoid heartbreak. Hair should be added absolutely dead last because each strand adds computation time to the computer.
I've used Poser 6's hi-res cloth square prop in the primitives to create both the window's outdoor scene and the Renderosity banner that above the door and the Poser 6 screen on the monitor. It a simple matter of taking the cloth prop to the materials room and clicking the texture square and select a jpeg of what you want to appear in the square. Then you x-y scale and rotate and twist the square until fits where you want it to go. And dont' forget to parent it and lock it!)
The nice cosy little room and its props are again from the radiostation freebie from Darkangle.
The big computer monitor is from http://www.3dm3.com/ freestuff via http://mystic-nights.com/'s search engine. (use it!)
All of the figures come with Poser 6.

Your right, it's an amazing scene that must have taken hours to sit up in such detail. I especially like the figures who have already landed on the ground and are looking up angry and confused at being ceremoniously dumped out. Especially enjoyed your description of your process in creating it, for sure your tips will come in handy.

LMAO...I wish I could shake out renders like that sometimes, but what I hate about piggy 6 the most, is when you add one more element to a scene and it says 'sorry not enough memory to render', then totally trashes your scene file, so now I always save a few different versions, then you can go back and retrieve at least one good version, if necessary ! Good advice all around, well done & ~Cheers~ :o)

I always have some nonsense problem when I use Poser. I've since started using the interPoser plugin with Cinema4D. That being said, I applaud your skill at keeping Poser working long enough to make this humorous image. I especially dig the figures on the ground having a reaction to the fall.
