I was born in the flat lands of Kansas in a family of nine. My love of images started when I was 11 in the mid60s and my mom brought home a box full of Life and Look mags. Being the middle child, withdrawn and depressed. I took these images, cut them up made collages to express myself. My Art form begain and so too my love of Photography. I still make Collages from found objects. But once I got my computer I turned to 3D Art. Then replace my old SLR with a digital and here I am. I now live on a small Island in the Puget Sounds. With my husband and two cats and a menagerie of wild life.

I used to explore old abandoned houses in the Big Thicket when I lived on the fringes of it. The houses were covered in vines, filled with bugs, mice and snakes, and they were always so very interesting. Now everyone posts no trespassing signs so you can go in and look at these marvelous tributes to hard working family life. I look forward to your series.

You are so good at these looking through shots Bonita! Marvellous! Your capture evokes so many feelings. I think back to the time this house echoed with childrens laughter. A superb work, I look forward to this series. Hugs dear friend. Di. xx

beautiful yet sad .. bittersweet I think is the word I was looking for. Abandoned houses always look so sad, like lost dogs. A little bewildered that someone could just leave it after years of occupancy, life still echoing if you listen closely! I'm really excited about seeing more!
