I feel so sorry for those horses, being bitten like that by those flies. They can draw blood and they don't go away! Too bad they didn't at least have the mask on to protect the muzzle. Ah, well, excellent shot, :-)

Gorgeous horses and photograph. They are not Arab horses though, I can't tell from this exactly their breeding is. Flies are a constant nuisance to them in the summer my horses wear a fly fringe of tassles which they can flick to keep them away from their eyes, the ear part is fine netting so the flies can't get to their ears plus I put fly repellant on them. Mind they still like to stand head to tail so they can flick each other with their tails too. The flies in the pic are not biting flies though they are just a nuisance. OOOOp sorry about the horse care lesson :D Well it's a lovely pic and I love horses so top marks from me :)

They are beautiful and this is a wonderful capture. Pity about the flies and you just can't help but notice them in this pic. Fortunately, as Richard says, they aren't the biting kind and he always knows what he's talking about. -M :^)

La robe a une couleur appelée "Isabelle" ! S'ils étaient en liberté, ce pourrait être des Lipizan !!! The dress has a color called "Isabelle"! If they were in freedom, it could be of Lipizan!!! Very beautiful shot !!!
