You got this in a very interesting pose. How strange it is but you have a very clean, focused and well composed photo here. I also agree, Lee rocks when it comes to bugs - especially dragonflies.

These shots are so amazing- the clarity and...just the thought of capturing one of these guys with so many variables that can go wrong! Would it be cheating if I used a dead bug and glued it into place so I could set up all the variables perfectly? :) I am kidding of course! But the few times I try and get these I end up with a blur or scare them away... ah well- experience and time will tell.

Great shot of this brilliant Dragon. Your images are always so clean, crisp, and uncluttered. Your lighting is terrific and your colors are vivid. Great subject, great photographer, great capture. Lee BTW - Fame is fleeting. So while I have a bit of the stage, let me point out that I get my info from several reference books, "Whatsthatbug.com", and other on-line sources. Until I capture a bug I don't recognize, I usually know just enough to place it in the right Family (if I am lucky). The rest of the info comes from time spent looking for it and not from the gray cells in my wrinkled old head, lol. My thanks to Mayda and the others for their kind words.

I am in awe. I ran outside yesterday because I saw a dragonfly land on one of my bushes. Snapped a few shots of him.... But they're boring and not as crisp as this. This is just a fantastic shot!! I really admire your macros. They're absolutely amazing!!
