Description

This is a fake copy of the very first Dr Who novel. It was never published by these people, and never had a cover even remotely like this. (Just to clear things up, there were many, many Dr Who novels, but this is my idea of another publisher's take on the very first one in 1965) It represents a novel found at the back of a garage, mangled and unloved. Dalek and city were built in TS4, while they were rendered in Bryce. The whole thing was put together in PhotoShop. Hope you like it Iain

there actually were Dr. Who books; I read about a hundred before I realized there were hundreds more..;) great work on the wear and tear, it's the details that count.

In the 1960s my older brother won a Blue Peter badge by designing a machine to destroy the Daleks.....ironically enough later he went on to become one of the SFX designers on Doctor Who in the 1970s/80s! He died a few years back so I can now freely admit that he "borrowed" a real Dalek for me from the BBC which lived in my Dad's garage for years. Wish I still had it! Really like the idea and execution here; it's good to see people thinking outside the box!
