Splendid shot. Its so cool you captured these types of shacks on film. At one time it was someone’s pride and joy 'home sweet home'. In the California deserts there are, 'were' a bunch of shacks like this out in the middle of nowhere. Little by little as the years go by vandals and weather erase them from history. Looks like you captured someone’s one time home at the brink of extinction. If only the walls could speak.

I love this old house. We've got a bunch around here similar to this. I often wonder what stories these old houses would tell of those who lived in them in days long gone by.

Photos like this are bittersweet. The families that touched it over the years, the feeling that such a home is alive - even still... The boards absorbing each inhabitant's personality, each event and every emotion until it begins to breathe with its own life. So sad to see it nearly at the end of its "Golden Years." Fabulous photo.

Now this is weird- there is a house not far from where I live that looks exactly like the one in your photo. Except in this case an old school chum, who is somewhat eccentric, lives in it. Amazing what people will call home. Excellent shot!!!
