Meet Snark Kneecrack, adventuring companion to Lily and Yade. In a time when small people had few career choices, Snark became a star of the travelling circus. When the slavers descended on the circus caravan, Snark thought he was doomed. It was his lucky day, however, when a certain blonde was captured and thrown into a cage next to him. The two hatched an ingenious escape plan and have been by each other's side ever since. (Although, she intended to leave him behind...) He remains composed in the face of danger, and Lily occasionally clutches him tightly when she becomes frightened. He woudn't mind so much if not for her talon-like fingernails digging into his shoulder. Theirs is a true platonic love story, and they come to depend on and appreciate each other. (But would she betray him to lift her curse?) Snark has also been known to have a great infatuation with Yade, whom he sees as an exotic beauty with a wonderful heart and just a dash of mystery. In other words, his idea of a perfect woman. His time spent with the circus has taught him several skills: he's a natural at dealing with animals, is a whiz with the whip, and knows exactly how to talk people into cheerfully handing over their money. He loves exploring the world; although widely travelled, he never knew what he was missing until he left the circus behind. I'm still trying to solidify how I want Snark to look. He's supposed to look like a pint-sized version of a circus strongman (you know, the guy who lifts the barbell labeled "two tons"). He's not supposed to look like a child with a mustache, and he's REALLY not supposed to look like Nintendo's Mario!! I also don't want him to look like one of those underground dwellers with the Scottish accents. Please feel free to comment on how I can improve his look!
