Description
My first attempt using Deep Paint at image creation ( about 85% of the base picture ). Finished up in GIMP (deepened eyelids; added beard,eyelashes, and darker shadows for nose and lips shadows). Just a bishie kind of guy. I am using my new X-Pen tablet as well.

You understand form and depth so well. The lighting and the shadows bring him to life. Like the rest of your art - this is so understated and deceptively simple, but the visual impact is incredible. It's much the same as with writing. Too many adjectives and the meaning gets lost in muck. Restraint is key. Spartan. Zen. GREAT JOB.
