I happen to be very happy with my background and went to great effort to make it look like that. That's Aurora on the planet, not spotty. A star field from Yale with fog and clouds for color and obscuring the stars. Yes, it's mostly terrains.

Then it doesn't work with jpeg compression, maybe... it looks like the details were blurred and distorted. It DOES look a little detailed for a jpeg.
