No cow was harmed during render. The base scene ( atmo+ metacloud) is included in my latest pack " Overcast spectral skies" availabla at C3D. Postwork: only level adjustments. Thanks for your visit & comments.

That is a fantastic effect! I love the backlighting of the twister, it's awe inspiring. The trees in the air effectively seem to have been torn from the ground, excellent work. Btw, when the movie "Twister" came out, my brother and sister went to see it with our mom. They said she embarrassed them by exclaiming loudly, "Oh look!! A cow!" when she saw a cow being pulled into the sky. So I can imagine her looking at this and saying, "Oh look! A car!!" if she saw this. I'm going to see her shortly, and since it's on my mind I just have to show her your scene to see how she reacts. lolol
