Description

This is for all of you. I have found my amateur efforts so readily accepted and so encouraged by all you great folks. Actually, I'm having a blast! It's been way too hot here, so I was out doing my thing in the garden very early today, and was so fascinated by the difference between the effects caused by raindrops and by dew. This (accidental) photo has had me mesmerised all day while I was in here avoiding the heat. I love the macro. For the rose enthusiasts amongst you, this is 'Mary Rose', named after Henry V111's flagship, which was found and pulled out of the Solent some years ago. The funds raised from these roses, and from the horsebrass they created, which I also have, contribute towards the ship being constantly sprayed with sea-water to preserve it. I think it's at Greenwich, but am not certain. Interesting isn't it?

Wonderful capture of a very beautiful rose. The shades of pink go very well with the soft green hues of the background. Love the sparkles of light the dew add to the flower. 5*

Wow! You must've been up really early to get this shot Chris! How can this be an accidental?! It's incredible!! Wonderful DOF and the colour contrast between the green leaves and those beautiful pink petals makes for a striking image. Superb work my friend!
