Description
This emu has been living in a huge paddock on the outskirts of my town for years. He surprised me today when he came trotting over to the the roadside fence while I was there, so I got a lot of close-ups. He didn't show any fear--just curiosity. Years ago I was videotaping an animal enclosure at a park and one the emus began to peck at the lens-- very close close-ups !!

He does have a menacing look about him. :-) Still with the food in his mouth sticking out like that, you just can't take that look seriously. Wonderful close up.
