I must have chosen Renaissance Man as a career option. I paint, draw, sculpt, write, and do photography.
Or put less charitably, "jack of all trades, master of none."

The joy of the creative life is there are no standards, no goals, no limits. Just do whatever you feel like doing to the fullest extent of your skills, facilities, faculties, and creativity.
Of course, it helps if everything is on hand, working, the Muse is making regular deliveries, and you're not tuckered or psyched out from your day job (or in my case, the overnight job).
I've been exhibiting at SF convention artshows since '76.
Starting in '86, I've been writing supplements for role playing games. You can find a list at http://www.pen-paper.net/rpgdb.php?op=showcreator&creatorid=2327
The best known is THE ULTIMATE POWERS BOOK, a treatise on comic book superpowers. You can find it on EBay or download it from the web.Â
As for photography, I'm using a 1976 Minolta SLR, a pair of 1.3 Mp Sanyo digital cameras, and an 8 Mp Canon S5. My computer is a HP Pavilion 4550Z, vintage 1999.
And I have webbed toes.
So does Dan Ackroyd, Madeline Stowe, and one of the Dixie Chicks. Ackroyd and I share the same attitude, "The toes prove I'm a mutant."

My dear friend, well as much as I admire and respect your work and I absolutely love Joleen, let me say that your photoshop skills are soooooo bad!! I love the concept, your idea is great and you have every element you need to get this to be an awesome post (as well as fun) when cutting an object out of it's original photo, don't trust the magic wand, take the time to use the lazo, be patient and enjoy being in control of what stays and what goes, and in the case of Joleen it is certainly worth the effort. once you have cut her out of the original picture, using your bluring tool, go around her silhuette blurring just a few pixels around her shape (this blands her with the new background in a very real looking way) make sure you did cut out the space between her legs and the space between her blouse or jacket and her right thigh. You know I am a big fan of your art and I mean all this in the best and honest way.

PSA that we'll never hear -- "Friends Don't Let Friends PhotoShop When They're Sleep Deprived." Okay, I'm awake and I've cleared up some of the errors Chris noted. Gotta find a better gun before I go for the final version....
