Description

I first observed this very tiny damselfly on my front porch and of course my camera was elsewhere.I was lucky the other day and it was on my patio wall.I grabbed my camera and started shooting.the larger one was shot with a 105 Sigma macro with 3 Kenko extensions.it so hard to get a whole torso focus with such a tight focus point.I removed 2 extensions and it was gone thanks for viewing and any comments.I cropped and left these full size so the detail could be seen although the focused space is small

Richard, You sure get the shots. What strikes me is, first you actually do have to spot something with the naked eye. Then you decide to shoot, right? You are a marvel to spot the wonderful things that you do. And then you share. I love it!!!!!

Yeah nature invented metallic green (and blue, etc.) long before we ever thought of putting it on our cars and trucks! Super close up shot!

That's a narrow-winged damselfly [Coenagrionidae], and the red stigmas (the colored spots on its forewings) give it away as a Citrine forktail [Ischnura hastata] - a male... (just thought you might want to know:). Elegant and delicate creatures.
