Description
Walking out of Blackburn the other day, I surprised to see a sign saying "Welcome to LANCASHIRE...". Suprised because Blackburn is well and truly inside Lancashire, and nowhere near its borders. The reason for the sign is that although Blackburn is in Lancashire, it does not come under the Lancashire County Councel. Hence the absurdity of being welcomed to Lancashire when you are already in Lancashire!
The sign goes on to say "...A place where everyone matters". I couldn't resist a bit of virtual graffiti, and "matters" became "mutters"!
We are not that bad really (I hope).
