Description

Yes, I am in the correct gallery, despite the fact that my appearance is quite bizarre.......... Another challenge, anyone? ANSWER These are the seed-heads on the beautybush, (see My Hideaway for the pink flowers in bloom). There are others that are lime green and gold,on the same tree, so perhaps are at a different stage of development. I am begining to think the seed heads are often as magical as the flowers themselves!

Animal, vegetable, or mineral? : Vegetable. Would I want to eat it? : Probably not. Is it decorative? : Most definitely. Okay - this looks like what's left over after you pick the fruit. Tomato, blackberry, raspberry, whatever. All the fuzzies? : No idea. So . . . I think I know what it is in general, but am really not sure. I give up!

Chris! You've given the answer while I was working it out!! I thought at first this was going to be more cryptic, and was looking through shrubs that have the "starfish" prefix to their names, and such. Beautybush, (Kolkwitzia amabilis) of the Caprifoliaceae family, originally from Western China. Beautiful capture and wonderful colours Chris! So, what's the next challenge?
