Beautiful shot. Architecture of old times is always mesmerizing me ! Their stunning work in every little detail is fascinating. Todays architects - maybe because of the computer aided design, preferring simple and clean lines. It's maybe proper for our time. But stuff we created with the cutting edge technologies looks much more simple than the elder's work. So thats the question; are we advancing or getting primitive ?

A superb capture - I'm not quite sure that the inclusion of the cieling adds to composition.

Beautiful "altar" detailing. Modeling, texturing and lighting here are exceptional. Only the spelling needs correction. :o)

Wonderful capture -- it really conveys the granduer one would feel if standing in that spot, not always an easy thing to convey in a photo.

I like the light on this piece Mak, touches something deep within - I've always had a fascination with churches, abbey's etc. Must be some deep rooted connection to the motto granted to my surname? ‘Sancta Clavis Coeli Fides’ - translation ( Faith is the Sacred Key to Heaven) ... conjures up visions of Hospitalliers, templar’s etc.
