Description

Shot taken not far from my home up at Smailes Moor Farm. All the fields are being brought in, in the last week of warm sunshine! The landscape changes... Have a wonderful eventime. Hugs. Diane.

Round bales. How nifty. But how do you stack them? This is a great shot with the light streaming in like that. So comfortable and "homey." Just the sort of place I can picture you being...wherever the sun shines in... :-)

These huge hay-rolls are a reminder that the cycle of seasons runs its course, thank God!A superb framing and the sky through the window is an appeal to better days for everyone.

Ohhh Didi...love this round stacks of hay. I am chasing something like this but in my country the farmers makes it square form and cover it with a plastic fully. Fantastic use of natural light gives a nice color to the hay. Most excelent capture.

I thank you all for comments. @KarmaSong/Dear Jean-Luc.. The season are so acute in Bay.. Our lives are lived so closely to the land. The Autumn arrives like someone has flicked a switch and all is changed. I must admit my heart did sink a little when I saw the farmers "Bringing in the fields". A sure and certain sign that Autumn approaches... Na night. Diane.

Just a good old fashioned homey scene... I saw one like this on the way to Campbellsville Friday only theirs was the old time square bales of hale not the round like this... Glad it was those old farmers out there in the hot blistering sun and scratchy old clothes before bath time..whew I bet they were sweating... Love this sis and has a lot of memories for me Hugs Susan~

Very cool capture.. Interesting.. here, they now do those in big plastic bags that are air tight and leave them in the fields all winter. I guess they don't rot nor heat up.. I remember when I used to work on the horse farms in Fla. we had to be careful of moist hay heating up and possibly causing a fire.

Beautiful lighting and its nice to see them inside instead of just wrapped in plastic and left in a long row in the paddock. I'm sure the stock would enjoy these better. Lovely capture.
