ABOUT JAMES LYONS
Like most other artists I have been involved with creating art in one form or another for most of my life.
My mother got me started at a very young age when she taught me how to draw small airplanes dropping bombs on people(that should have been a clue!)
After a long stint in the Marine Corps that included combat in Operation Desert Storm, I went back to my art and started anew.
Needless to say as the years passed by my work improved. In my artistic pursuit I have worn many different hats. I have done both mechanical and architectural drafting, sculpture, both acrylic and oil painting, watercolor and now, finally, I have entered the magical realm of painting with pixels!
I have had a lot of encouragement along the way and I sincerely appreciate all the help, be it a kind word or tip on how to do something better or the support that I have from family and friends!
A larger body of my work can be found here: The Art of James Lyons
My biography wouldn't be complete without mentioning some of my artistic influences, in no particular order they would be: Larry Elmore, Toxicangel, Ravenheart, Royo, Todd Lockwood, Matt Stawicki, Nene Thomas & Clyde Caldwell

Great job! You have done your homework, mate! It's all there, the insignia of JG 52, Hartmann's black tulip pattern and of course the bleeding heart of "Karalja" ;) That leaves only one question: Is that now Bubi sitting in the cockpit or is that his rooky wingman straight from flight school who got the "life insurance" of Bubi's plane - which most soviet pilots would avoid by now at all cost.

The cloud cover gives this a sense of mystery and stealth. I like it! Lea
