" My Son..."
With these words, Marlon Brando breathed life into the char of Jor-El. The image of a Father doing everying to save his child, even at the expense of his own life is very powerful.
With respects to the Brando family as well as "Superman"'s creators, Joe Shuster and Jerry Siegel, this is my humble attempt at reproducing that point in fictional history. I crafted Kal-El's ship after the design used in "Smallville", both because I like the concept and I enjoy the good work Mr. Gough and Mr.Millar are doing.
The Planet and The Red Sun are the produces of some 3-D Max slight of hand using the Combustion app. as a mask as well as a texturemap.
I hope everyone enjoys it and I'm working on making it into a animation. Please comment an tell your friends!

Very cool work SG, I especially like how the red sun has hot spots spurting off its surface. Cool ship too!!

I prefer "Kill Bill"'s disertation of Superman best. Revealed at the end of the second installment where Bill descibes his thoughts about it. Where other super heroes hide their true identity with their costumes and masks, Clark Kent is the disguise Superman uses. A frail, near-sighted, clumsy man. A commentary on all humanity.
