I was born in Zimbabwe on 03/06/88. My family, consisting of parents, older brother and sister, migrated to South Africa when I was six months old. We moved back to Zimbabwe six years later, to help my grandparents on their farm - a career change for my father.
After a measly eighteen months we upped sticks and went farming on our own. This led us to Kwekwe, in the heart of Zimbabwe, to farm tobacco! Borrowdale farm which is part of the "Midlands Black Rhino Conservancy" is where we settled . This was the most incredible experience, living with such an abundance of wild life ........... of which we became a part of during the school holidays! Due to the "land redistribution policy" we had no option but to move on.
10th November, 2001 saw us arrive in New Zealand with our former lives packed into a suitcase each, ready to start our new lives. Our first three years were spent on the South Island and I nearly froze!!!!!!! A great employment opportunity for my father had us move up to the North Island. I now live on a farm just outside Matamata aka "Hobbiton" (defrosting).
Yep that should sum it up ha!

I like this. He looks like he's got the world to himself and he's just having fun ... Exactly what childhood should be about.

I love this Kai. I love the glassy look of the beach and the little boy all bundled up against the cold, tentatively walking out. A great photograph.

I like the idea here, though it isn't one of my favs of yours. Sorry to let you down..lol. I think the compo is well done. And I like the minimalism. I am not sure exactly what it is, but it may be the mass amount of reflection on the water. Seems to just bleach it all out. (and after using my Circ. Pol. filter last week at the beach, I think using one to reduce some of the water reflect would have helped here.) Still an above avg. pic. But ya know.. ;-)

Awesome pic bro! you know, the compo expresses real life and gets me thinking about those moments in life where you just wanna go out for a walk. Hpoe you'll keep em coming soon.

I don't think its boring :) Children find big pleasures in little things that we all to often forget as we get older and images like this always remind me of that. Sweet capture of this little man
jedink
He looks lost in thought. Nicely captured.
