Looks a bit like a Texan trainer. i know they were repackaged for China and a few other nations as attack aircraft.

Dann-O probably has the right of it. I think it started life as the North American NA 16 but was built in Australia and served in a number of military roles in the Pacific theatre. The roundel is a little drab, but nothing you could do about that. It's nice to blame the Australians for something (apart from being too good at too many sports - joking).

I like how you will pick the oddball planes to model, sometimes seen as the forgotten stepchild, whereas the world has a plethora of Mustangs and Spitfires, and ME 109s, you do planes that have a place in history but may get sidestepped by historians. Nicely done!

After morphing the North American design for the Wirraway, Commonwealth morphed the Wirraway into the Boomerang fighter-bomber. Clever lads those Aussies. Superb render!
