I loved this movie. Arthur C Clarke always brings a sense of wonder to his work. Not only has he predicted and influenced science over the years, he's done so with a magic that is nearly unparalleled in literature.

Excellent hommage of this terrific movie! In terms of predicting the future, maybe, but in terms of working a wonderful magic on science fiction, he's certainly one of the top masters, though that's a spot shared with a few others like Herbert and Heinlein in my opinion.

Yeah.. i got both of them on DVD.. and they never fail to amaze me for time the the movies were made... they're brilliant.. and a perfect message from the master of Sci-Fact!

Man, thats great, they just showed 2001 and 2010 in the TV and I love these movies, they make you think a lot.
