Well, I'm not too sure about Denmark, but here in the States this looks like it might be a Morning Glory, or in that family....regardless, it's a beauty Helle !!! ~ Hugs ~

Naaaa Mina, it can not be a morning glow (snerle in danish), because this is in diameter about 10 cm. and the plant looks like a little tree in up til 1 meter tall. I Danmark we have some called Angels Trompet, but the flowers on that are hanging like bells and has one of the names in the title. Thanks for your nice comments :)))

I have researched this question for you, my friend! This is a Datura. Brugmansia flowers point down, and the plant is shaped like a tree. They are the ones known as "angel's trumpet." The blooms are pointing down, as if from heaven. Datura flowers point up, and the plant is more like a bush. These are known as "devil's trumpet," because they point up, as if from below. I found a million fussy little details about each, but that is essentially the distinction.

WOOW! Thank you so much for your great help Tara. I am very happy to know this, because I gave seed from it to friends and family, so it is nice to know the really name too. Thank you so much, my friend :))) HUGS!

Well Tara beat me to it. I have grown these in my yard (but not this year - growing Angels Trumpet this year instead). Very nice shot that shows it off beautifully.

Hey sweetie This is indeed a Datura... The Datura stands upright...and the Brug hangs down.... I had ordered a brug off e bay and it was growing nicely Has it on the front porch at my mom's and a neighborhood kid broke it off I was quite upset....found out the guilty suspect and told him in no uncertain terms to stay off my property...hoping to fix it up sometime soon and move in... These both are poisonous plants...and you should flush yourself with water or saline solution immmediately The brugs come in all colors...mine was an orange one... Most Daura's are white...lavender and other colors... They also come in a double bloom or single bloom like this one is... Single I mean...lol.... It seems there are lots of rain droplets on all the flowers I have saw recently posted...and the ants seem quiet happy... This reminds me also like the Moonflowers....they bloom at night and close during the day.... Perfect capture and glad you got the info you needed Hugs Susan~
