Description

I took this picture last evening. Thankfully, this storm missed us. I sit here now and wonder if it ever became of anything elsewhere. I had planned on uploading Friday nights picture that I had taken but when I saw this, well .... I couldn't resist. I'll upload Friday nites clouds maybe tomorrow. I'm so far behind in commenting; I hope to catch up today! There just aren't enough hours in a day for everything. :( Thanks for stopping by; hope you're all having a nice weekend! Shari

It surely looks very ominous and is accentuated by the mood created by the dark area in the foreground, great mood too. ;)

Oh my God, is this true?? Looks similar to a "beautiful" apocalypse or a huge UFO, scary and amazing, never seen something like that!!!

A wonderfully moody (and dare I say, atmospheric!) capture. The formation of these clouds is amazing and something which I have never seen before. Wonderful tones. xx

WOW!! Now that is what I call a spectacular sky; and in turn a spectacular capture. I should imagine that this is a shot any storm chaser would be proud of. The lighting is Fantastic. Bravo!!!!!

I had to look through the comments to see whether anyone else got the same first impression I did ... and, by golly, BorisB also noticed it. This formation looks more like an alien invasion than the clouds in "Independence Day" did... Think about it -- Will we ever be sure that Shari wasn't abducted and that her replacement is now submitting photos on RR? I don't think so... :o) Perfectly captured, my dear ... gotta fave it!
