Okay - I'm there! This one is more my speed. I remember the old one at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle when I was just a tyke. It was one of those classic carousels with the carved wooden horses, hand painted. Lovely thing! (They've just completed a restoration project - gotta get down there to see it!) My grandmother would put me on the ride and then stand and wave every time I came around. Thanks for the memory!

Now I remeber the carosel at the beach in California, it was right after the war and my dad was home and me and my sister were just out of the hospital. Havent thought of this in years. Thanks for the re-ride. Lightpen

Cheers to childhood memories! What a fun-loving and happy photograph! I like the way you've captured just the horses, the very ride itself. I think it gives the photograph a different feel altogether, as opposed to if it's vacancy were filled. Love the different perspectives of the coloured "rides". You've created a phenomenal atmosphere! Can't help but grin and nod :) Thank you!!!

But first I have to know how fast does this one go? If a two year old can walk next to it and keep up easily, it may be just right for me!! Maybe. Awesome shot!
