The 327 had been around for 5 years when the Camaro appeared. Already in Corvettes the 427 had displaced the fuel-injected versions as top option. When one is into bodies one just wants something that runs good. This year was cleaner than the first Camaros with cutoff ends and bumble bee wrap arond nose stripes. They had a strong second gear. People ask me over and over about six cylinder Camaros, Mustangs and Pintos. They are looking for low.
