Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Quite an amazing shot for more than the hawk. The prism of color that eminates is exciting and seen in so many places besides the sunburst. Really excellent mood.

Funny how you can miss something and then find it, quickly when the time is right, or at least when things are in the right conjunction. This is an excellent photo and I love the glare from the sun. The hawk is just barely visible and strangely outlined, almost like some kind of paranormal thing, which adds a wonderful effect to the picture. I love the crisp details as well, especially with the fronds of foliage. Great image, and one I found simply by browsing. I love it when THAT happens as well.
