Description

This was taken several years ago in Yelapa, Mexico, a tiny village south of Puerto Vallarta. I was lying on the deck of the palapa we were staying in and saw the hawk soaring overhead. All I had was one of those point and shoot 35mm cameras, but wow, did I get lucky!! The hawk seems transparent, barely visible. It seemed almost a sign of unlimited joy. I knew I wanted to post it here, but couldn't find the print. That turned into a huge search, and finally I got the big box with about a million fotos. I stuck my hand in, and it was the first one I found. Sometimes the fates treat you well!!

Quite an amazing shot for more than the hawk. The prism of color that eminates is exciting and seen in so many places besides the sunburst. Really excellent mood.

Funny how you can miss something and then find it, quickly when the time is right, or at least when things are in the right conjunction. This is an excellent photo and I love the glare from the sun. The hawk is just barely visible and strangely outlined, almost like some kind of paranormal thing, which adds a wonderful effect to the picture. I love the crisp details as well, especially with the fronds of foliage. Great image, and one I found simply by browsing. I love it when THAT happens as well.
